The NC Mini-Breeding Bird Survey consists of 9.5-mile roadside survey routes at which volunteers conduct twenty 3-minute point counts at 0.5 mile intervals. This involves just 2-3 hours, typically on a weekend morning in late May or June. See a summary of recent trends here: https://minibbs.us/
