APA Iowa Involvement
The APA Iowa Chapter seeks to ensure its members have an opportunity to get involved in the chapter's business and is always on the lookout for new participants on its board and committees. We've developed this form to allow members to indicate what roles they might be interested in, which will help the board fill vacancies or know who to call on when various needs arise. Please take a moment to consider which roles, if any, you'd like to be considered for.
In which topic areas are you interested in becoming more involved? (check all that apply)
Professional Development (advise/assist members pursuing AICP, assist with opportunities for continuing education)
Chapter Development (identify opportunities to expand chapter membership & benefits to members)
Outreach & Advocacy (promote best practices, develop relationships with allied organizations)
Legislative & Policy (develop/advance chapter's legislative agenda and planning policy program)
Recognition & Awards (assist with Chapter Awards Program, facilitate and encourage National Award applications, promote FAICP candidates)
Public Relations & Communications (involvement with chapter website, social media, etc.)
Conference Planning (planning/logistics for annual chapter conference)
What best describes your interest level - what's the right role for you?
I'm ready to jump in and serve on the board, which may entail chairing a committee.
I'm interested in helping out on a standing committee, but not ready to be its chair or a chapter board member (but maybe someday!)
I'm interested in participating in a short-term or temporary committee just to see what this is all about.
It's okay if you contact me for assistance once in a while, but I don't have time for an ongoing commitment.
I'm not interested in more involvement at this time.
I'm not sure - can we talk and see what might make sense for me?
