Thank you for volunteering to work at an election day voting location. Each shift is two hours long and you can work as many shifts as you want! Bring a friend. Bring your kids! Take off work!
If the shift is showing below, it IS AVAILABLE. It's an improvement over the early vote form.
Most shifts are 7am-9am*, 9am -11am, 11am-1 pm and 5pm-7 pm. For parents, if you are dropping off kids at 7:30 am, you can do 7:30-9::30 am or sign up for 9-11. It is usually slow 1-5 except at some polls. We will send you an email with details about where to pick up literature and sample things to say once you sign up.
We have prioritized 64 polling locations into six regions to help you choose. Regions are NW & Heights, Central, North/NE, South/SE, SW, and West. There will be signs at all HISD polls, but they are not poll greeter locations. If the poll you want is missing, please write it in the comments.
Here are 2022 vote totals by region to help you choose.
What to do: Convince/remind people to vote NO to HISD bonds at the bottom of their ballot. Pass out the Vote No to HISD Bonds push cards literature . If you are at a poll where it is hard to talk to voters, grab a vote no sign that is at the polling location (off the stake) and hold it up as people walk in or drive by. Put it back when you are done. Please be nice. If someone does not want to talk to you, leave them be!
What is the 100 ft line: You cannot canvass (talk about candidates) to people inside the 100 ft line of the poll. This will be marked with a sign. If you are wearing a vote no t shirt or button, bring a jacket or t shirt to cover it when you need to go inside to use the bathroom.
