BBA CODE OF CONDUCT It is the purpose and intent of the Bryan Little League to create and offer quality learning and baseball playing opportunities. The following code of conduct agreement is constructed as an instrument to emphasize those values, principles, and beliefs, which are central to the foundation, structure, and operation of the Bryan Baseball Program. I hereby agree: • At no time during the course of an event will I confront a coach for any reason. • At no time during the course of an event will I use profanity/lewd gestures or misuse/damage any equipment/facility. • At no time during the course of an event will I be involved in an abusive verbal or physical confrontation with another coach, parent official or participant. • That some players may have more plate appearances, playing time, positions/roles, and starting assignments, than other players • At no time during an event will I indulge in the use of tobacco, alcohol or drugs, or appear at an event under the influence of alcohol or drugs. • To respect all officials and their authority during games and never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field, and only speak with coaches at an agreed upon time and place. • To be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or event. • To not encourage any behaviors or practices that would endanger the health and well being of the athletes. • To demand that my child treat other players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect regardless of race, creed, color, sex or ability, and teach my child to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence. • To learn the rules of the game and the league, and teach my child to play by these rules. • To refrain from coaching my child or other players during games and practices unless I am one of the official coaches of the team or have been asked to assist by an official coach of the team. • To emphasize skill development and practices and how they benefit my child over winning. I will also de-emphasize games and competition in the lower age groups. • To leave each dugout and each seating area in better shape than we found them • To participate FULLY in the any Fundraiser as set forth by the BBA. • That all medical, financial, and legal liability issues, activities, and consequences are the exclusive responsibility and domain of the player and/or his respective family, parent(s), and/or guardian(s)... at no time will the Bryan Little League, nor any of its associated personnel (manager, coaches, board of directors, et al.) be sued legally (individually, collectively, or organizationally) in any manner, for any expenses, damages (perceived or real, intentional or unintentional), losses, injuries, complaints/problems, complications, and/or inconveniences which may result from participation with the team activities and/or team initiatives. We agree to release and forever hold harmless said team and related personnel in all matters, legal, medical, personal, financial, and/or otherwise. No claims shall be made for any reason.
BBA REFUND POLICY OF THE REGISTRATION FEE. The BBA understands that it is possible for a family to register their child(ren) for baseball and then have circumstances arise that will not allow them to participate. The registration fee is a donation towards the operation of the BBA. All other funds collected from fundraisers, sponsorships, etc…are not refundable. In order to receive any refund, the parent/guardian of a player must submit proper forms to the Board requesting a refund and stating the reason as to why the player is no longer participating. Each situations will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the Board of Directors. The decision of the Board of Directors is final. Refund amount will be determined based on post-mark date on envelope. To be eligible for a refund, all fees must be paid and all BBA issued equipment/uniforms, fundraising materials and Raffle Ticketw must be turned in. Amount of refund will be based on the following situations: • Prior to the first practice, a $15 administrative fee will be charged and the remaining balance will be refunded. • No money will be refunded after the uniforms have been issued and practice has begun
I/We the parents/guardians of the above named child agree to support my/our child’s participation with our assistance by participating in various league programs, fundraisers and volunteer duties for the betterment of our child and the League.
I/We, the parents and/or guardian of the named candidate on this form for a position on a league team, hereby give my/our approval to participate in any and all league activities. I/We assume all risk and hazards incidental to such participation, including transportation to and from the activities. I/We hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the local league, the chartering organization, the organizers, sponsors, participants and persons transporting my/our child to and from activities for any claim arising out of an injury to my/our child, whether the result of negligence or from any other cause, except to the extent and in the amount covered by accident and liability insurance.
