Settlement Sector and Technology Task Group - Sector Input / Groupe de travail sur le secteur de l’établissement et la technologie – Participation du secteur
The objective of this Task Group is to discover, examine, and learn about the settlement sector’s needs to fully transition to a digital transformation and a hybrid service delivery model. This would include infrastructure, privacy issues (e.g. advice and protocols on how to safeguard information), professional development for staff, including digital literacy. Our core work will be to conduct consultations with the sector to produce an overview of the current landscape while identifying promising practices, gaps, challenges and risks for service providers. Currently our work plan has two main phases - a survey, and follow-up consultations (in formats such as 1-on-1 interviews, focus groups, & other consultation methods, to be determined).

We know you hold the answers to all of our questions. We're working closely with IRCC NHQ and we'll be sharing our work as we go. Please use this form to share your experiences, tell us about your successes, your challenges, and what you need to continue providing the excellent services you provide to newcomers and communities around you. We'll be asking your more specific questions in the weeks and months to come. But we wanted to give you a place to start sharing your experiences, asking questions, telling your stories.

L’objectif de ce groupe de travail est de découvrir, d’examiner et de connaître les besoins du secteur de l’établissement pour effectuer une transition complète vers une transformation numérique et un modèle hybride de prestation de services. Cela comprendrait l’infrastructure, les questions de protection de la vie privée (p. ex., des conseils et des protocoles sur la façon de protéger les renseignements), le perfectionnement professionnel du personnel, y compris la littératie numérique. Nos travaux principaux consisteront à mener des consultations avec le secteur pour donner un aperçu du paysage actuel tout en cernant les pratiques prometteuses, les lacunes, les défis et les risques pour les fournisseurs de services. Actuellement, notre plan de travail comporte deux grandes phases - un sondage et des consultations approfondies (dans des formats tels que les entrevues individuelles, les groupes de discussion et d’autres méthodes de consultation à déterminer).
