I'm asking for your support to tell Senators in the Australian Parliament to stand up for regional communities and vote for a Senate Inquiry into energy transmission lines, particularly

a)   their impact on agricultural land, rural properties, remnant native vegetation, and culturally significant land;

b)   the appropriateness and adequacy of consultation with affected landholders and communities, and

c)   whether the proposed transmission lines are an appropriate and justifiable expenditure of taxpayer and energy customer money.

This isn’t a case of ‘not in my backyard’.  There are serious economic and environmental concerns about these projects and communities in Wide Bay are in the firing line.

Thank you for your support.
