We usually award bursaries of between £50 and £300 in value. In very exceptional circumstances, we may offer up to £500.
In keeping with the wishes of Joyce Hatton, we favour projects which focus on the enjoyment and enrichment of mathematics, and which have well-defined, preferably ongoing, benefits. We would not ordinarily support applications seeking funds for curriculum development or delivery (such as MyMaths subscriptions) or conference attendance.
We are happy to consider applications from across the UK. However, as a charity based in Liverpool, we will afford priority when oversubscribed to applications from Merseyside and the surrounding area.
As we may need to request more information from you, please try to apply well in advance of the deadline. Our next deadline is 31st January 2019 and the successful awards will be announced by 14th February 2019.
