Placement Auditions for Overture String Orchestra

Auditions are for placement rather than admission. Our live placement audition will be held:

Saturday, September 7th, between 1:00-2:00 pm
Concord Conservatory of Music
1317 Main St.
Concord, MA 01742

After submitting this form, a CCM staff member will be in touch to confirm your specific audition time.

Audition requirements: 
  • One scale of your choice by memory
  • One piece of your choice, either under 3 minutes or the exposition only of a longer piece.
Eligibility:
  • A minimum of 3 years of private study on the instrument
  • Confidence playing in first position on all strings
  • Ability to read music

Video recordings may be accepted after September 7th if space is available in the program. Please get in touch with akechley@concordconservatory.org if you need to miss the live audition date.
