We are excited to welcome your child into the ER Band Program! The instrumental program is a wonderful opportunity for your child to develop musical skills, teamwork, and discipline. In order to ensure a successful and enriching experience for all band members, we ask that you read and complete the following commitment form:

What supplies to do have or need?

Will need: instrument, maintenance supplies, reeds for clarinet and saxophone, foldable music stand and sound innovations book 1. French Horn, Euphonium and Tuba players atomically borrow an instrument.

We have all the supplies, lesson book and instrument or will get them by September 18th.

We need to borrow an instrument but will purchase the lesson book and supplies.

We need to borrow an instrument, supplies and lesson book.

We would like a luggage cart to help with walking the trombone or alto sax to and from school.

Expectations and Procedures

Regular Attendance: I acknowledge that consistent attendance at rehearsals, lessons, and performances is essential to the success of the band. I will ensure that my child attends at least 70% of scheduled rehearsals before a concert and attends all performances. I understand my child will be unable to perform in a concert if they do not meet this requirement. I will notify the band director in advance of any unavoidable absences.
Practice: I understand that consistent practice at home is crucial for my child's musical progress. I will encourage and support my child's daily practice routine to help them succeed.
Instrument Maintenance: I will ensure that my child's instrument is well-maintained, properly repaired if necessary, and brought to all rehearsals and performances. See required materials for maintenance and contact Mrs. Zito for repair needs.
Timeliness: I will make sure that my child arrives on time for all 7:30 am rehearsals and night performances. Punctuality shows respect for the director, fellow band members, and the overall band experience.
Communication: I will maintain open and respectful communication with the band director and other band parents. I will promptly respond to emails, messages, and other forms of communication regarding the band program.
Support: I will support my child's musical journey by attending performances, encouraging their progress, and fostering a positive attitude toward the band program.
