Let It Be Us is a Child Welfare Agency licensed by the State of Illinois and DCFS. We recruit foster and adoptive families throughout Illinois, we assist in licensure, and support providers in matching youth to licensed foster homes. In this matching service we operate a database of over 700 Illinois licensed foster homes. LIBU is not a licensing agency. Our referral information is self-reported by the foster parents and it is the responsibility of each caseworker to confirm the information. This innovation allows agencies an opportunity to share licensed foster homes.

Our goal is to provide caseworkers and investigators with a larger pool of licensed foster homes, facilitating placements, and increasing permanency outcomes.

The information you provide will be entered into our LIBU Registry and used to help match you with children in need of placement. You may be contacted by LIBU or a referring child welfare provider about a children in need of placement. Thank you.
