UMD MLIS Field Study Opportunities
Are you interested in your site being continually listed in our database as a field study option? Or do you have a current or ongoing opportunity for students? If so, this form is for you!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a field study site or supervisor and hosting a current MLIS student for a paid or unpaid internship! If you are interested in working with our students, please submit your contact information below. To make this process more flexible, only a few fields are mandatory, but please provide as much relevant information as you can. Upon filling out the form, you and your site are immediately added to the list, which students can access as a database spreadsheet on our secured internal site. Students will contact you if they are interested in working with you. If you are from a school, school district, or school library and would like to work specifically with a school library student, please contact Bridgette Comanda for school library inquiries.

Please Note: A field study is a minimum of 120-hours; they can be paid or unpaid; they can be remote or in-person; and they should be under the supervision of an information professional (librarian, archivist, records manager, etc.).
