UNDERGRADUATES:
Prospective Shepherd School of Music (SSM) undergraduate students who wish to be considered for a SSM merit scholarship or Rice University financial aid (where applicable) MUST complete this form and return it to The Shepherd School of Music. Domestic and US permanent residents must also complete the FAFSA, CSS Profile, and submit tax returns to the College Board using the IDOC cover sheet found on the IDOC Service website. Do NOT mail or fax tax return items directly to Rice. Even if you know that you will not qualify for federal aid, you must still complete these forms to be considered for any merit award from The Shepherd School of Music.
GRADUATES:
Graduate applicants MUST complete this form and upload it to your graduate application to be considered for a Shepherd School of Music merit scholarship. The FAFSA is not required to be considered for assistance from the Shepherd School. However, if accepted, it will be required if you plan to apply for any government aid through Rice University.
