Missouri Choral Directors Association Founders Grant
The MCDA Founders Grant was created in 2015 for the betterment of choral music programs throughout the entire state of Missouri through a generous gift from MCDA Past-President Noel Fulkerson. Any member of MCDA in good standing may apply on behalf of their choral program. Grant ideas might include, but are not limited to:
• Special concert music purchase
• Hiring instrumentalists for major work
• Hiring a guest clinician
• Joint concert or festival with other schools/churches
• Student (collegiate) ACDA chapter initiatives
• Commissioning new music
The MCDA Past-Presidents Council will read and submit a recommendation to the MCDA Board for approval/rejection of grant applications.
Preference will be given (but is not limited to) to choral programs with limited resources.
Grant recipients may re-apply in future years, however preference will be given to those who have not previously received the Founder’s Grant.
Maximum Award: $1,500.
MCDA Members may apply for funding between $250-$1,500. Partial amounts may be awarded depending on available funds. A total of $7500 could be granted each year.
Application Deadline July1. Applicants will be notified by August 1.
