2024 NH Turkey Brood Survey
Welcome to New Hampshire Fish and Game's 14th annual online NH Turkey Brood Survey. We're excited to have so many NH citizens working together to generate information for our turkey management program. Your observations help biologists assess this summer's turkey productivity and survival.

This survey allows you to submit details for one brood of turkeys observed. If you see subsequent broods to report, we encourage you to complete the survey again.

PLEASE DO NOT REPORT THE SAME BROOD MORE THAN ONCE.

Please do not enter adult male turkey observations; for this survey, we only require information on adult hens and their young.

Young are categorized as following:
Sparrow size (chicks)
Robin size (2 weeks old)
Quail size (3 weeks old)
Pigeon size (4 weeks old)
Grouse size (6 weeks old)
Pheasant size or larger (8+ weeks old)

Note that as the summer proceeds, hens and their young often gather together (referred to as "mixed" broods) consisting of multiple hens and their respective young. A “mixed” brood should be entered as a single brood in this survey.

Thanks very much for your contributions to this important initiative. If you need more information before completing the survey, go to www.wildnh.com/surveys/turkeybrood.html.

This survey will close on August 31, 2024. We hope to have the brood survey data summarized, and on our website, later this fall. Watch for a summary report at www.wildnh.com. I'm sure we all agree that New Hampshire's wild turkey population adds lots of enjoyment to life in the Granite State. Thanks for your time and interest.
