▶ Ensuring legal and fiduciary health of the organization.
▶ Exercising sound judgement by staying informed about board matters, preparing well for meetings, reviewing, and commenting on minutes and reports, and making decisions in the best interest of the organization.
▶ Participating in fundraising, recruiting, and increasing visibility for the organization.
▶ Giving a meaningful, personal, financial donation.
▶ Developing and building a collegial working relationship with other Board members that contributes to consensus.
▶ Attending all Board meetings and events in accordance with FIAG Bylaws. FIAG Board meets in person monthly for 1 – 1.5 hours. We also have 2 special events per year which occur in the evenings.
▶ Participating in one or more committees. Each committee meets monthly for 30-60 minutes via Zoom.
▶ Contributing to the development and evaluation of the strategic plan in alignment with FIAG’s mission.
▶ Committing to the 3-year term. Exception would be filling an open seat which can be 1-2.5 years.
