Join the Youth Organizing Institute for our annual Fall Training. This is an opportunity for high school students to connect and build with each other, while developing shared political analysis and organizing skills.
This training’s theme is: "We Keep Us Safe: Creating Community Defense"

We will discuss:

History of Policing
Knowing Your Rights
Restorative Justice
Cop Watching

In this training we hope to create space for students to talk more about the numerous forms of policing they face in their schools. We also hope to talk about what safety actually means for our communities, especially youth of color, LGBTQ youth, undocumented youth, disabled youth, and others who often feel unsafe from SROs/ICE/Cops in schools. We’re building #StudentPower for a statewide student movement! #WeKeepUsSafe
