AnimeCon 2021 AMV competition entry form
In 2021, the traditional AMV-competition will again be held at our festival. There will be no XMV-showing at AnimeCon. The deadline for AMV-entries is May 23, 2021.
To compete in the AMV competition, you (sender of this form) have to be personally present during the whole of the AMV event itself, which will be checked when the event starts. You will need your valid ticket number to correctly fill out this form, which needs to accompany your entry when you send it in. Only complete and compliant entries will be accepted.
Your AMV entry must arrive no later than Saturday May 23 2021, 23:59. We will check your entry on playability and adherence to the rules stated on our web site and send you a response as soon as possible.
The name under which you submit has to be the same as under which your festival ticket is registered. Your submission needs to comply with the event rules as stated on the festival website (
www.animecon.nl
), signing this form and participating implies you agree to these rules. The person submitting the AMV (the sender of this form) needs to be the original editor or co-editor.
For exact and extensive information on accepted video formats, resolutions, codecs and the like; please consult the AnimeCon 2021 website or forums.
The AnimeCon 2021 AMV contest will be operated at the discretion of the AnimeCon staff.
Rules and schedules may be subject to change without prior notice.
By submitting a video, you (the editor) grant Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur non-revocable permission to exhibit that AMV during the AnimeCon 2021 festival and to share your entry and data with other festivals to avoid duplicate entries.
The editor otherwise retains all rights and responsibilities relating to his/her creation. To be eligible for a prize, you need to attend the contest in person. The winner of the Editors Prize is decided by editors through an offline custom built voting system, the Audience Prize is determined through online voting. Anyone present in the room with online access and a social media account is able to cast a vote. An extra prize will be awarded to the video which the AnimeCon staff deems the best 'in-theme' AMV. The results are final and can therefore not be discussed in any way.
Noncompliance with the procedures or requirements mentioned on this form and on the website (
www.animecon.nl
) could result in disqualification. Loss of, or damage to submissions, due to any reason will not be compensated in any way. Stichting Promotie Japanse Popcultuur has the right to withhold or disqualify your submission from the contest without providing a reason. In the mean time, I'm off finding my blu-ray copy of Gone in 60 Seconds. It was here a minute ago.
