2018 LMTA Convention Proposals
We are currently accepting submissions for conference presentations on a wide variety of pedagogical and performance topics for the 2018 LMTA Annual State Convention at Northwestern State University, in Natchitoches, LA (October 25 & 26, 2018). When considering topics for session proposals, please keep in mind that the majority of convention attendees are teachers (primarily of piano & strings) or college students with a keen interest in pedagogy.

New this year are submissions for proposals 25 minutes in length, or 50 minutes in length.

Sessions chosen for the convention program will be selected based on relevance of topic, other sessions being presented during the conference, space on the program, and completeness of the submission form. Submitters will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by June 30. All decisions are final. Failure to return signed contracts by the deadline (July 30, 2018) or to register for convention (by Sept. 15, 2018) will result in removal from the convention program. Unfortunately, LMTA can not reimburse presenters for any expenses associated with the presentation. Presentations that are commercial in nature should not be submitted with this call for proposals.

Please note: presenters do not need to be members of LMTA but will need to register for the conference (either just for the day of the presentation or for the full conference) in order to present a session.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: May 31, 2018
