This escape room was designed by Lauren Mitchell, Readers' Services. The game is inspired by both the original Jumanji movie (1995) and the remakes (2017; 2019). You can still win without knowledge of the movies.

In June 2020, Jumanji has been automatically downloaded on everyone's smartphone. As the clock strikes 1:04 p.m. the app opens. You try to close it, but hit "Start" on the main screen instead. Before the screen changes, you read an ominous warning, "Adventurers beware. Do not begin unless you intend to finish."
You hear the familiar song of Jumanji. The hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The game has already started. You must proceed to Level One.
