FOR FILM:

For all SAME DAY Roadway, Sidewalk, and Parking Permit Requests 
PLEASE submit 1 permit for EACH street required to cover all aspects of the parking strip information and include possible times of road closure, ITC etc to capture all details for this permitted street. 

For Film you DO NOT need to enter multiple permits per each street for separate permissions for parking, ITC's, full closures etc). 

EXAMPLE Parking strip permitted times are entered 0700-2400, include notes for brief sidewalk closure/road ITC 0900-1500 with a full closure 1830-2359.

ROADWAY, SIDEWALK & PARKING REQUESTS
When choosing the location of a road request, there are a few things to keep in mind which can affect the chance of approval: ALL REGIONAL ROADS require 2 weeks' notice to be permitted.

1. Be sure to review possible road closures/construction maps that may affect your filming area

2. Does the request affect metered parking?  Metered parking can increase fees.

3. Does the request affect Winnipeg Transit routes & stops?  Impacting Transit reduces services to citizens.

4. Does the request involve Regional Roads (high priority roadways)

And please, always consider:

  • Could the request negatively impact the surrounding residences and businesses (blocking access)

  • Notification Letters must be sent to our office for approval IN ADVANCE of distributing letters to the community.
