Meditation workshop for activists and organizers
Saturday, August 17, 2019, 12-1:30pm
Lamont Dharma House, 1719 Lamont St. NW Washington, DC 20010

Contrary to the hype about mindfulness, meditation isn’t only for Silicon Valley CEOs. This workshop, taught by writer and meditation teacher Jeremy Mohler, is oriented towards political organizers and activists. There will be secular meditation instruction, group discussion, and light movement taught by yoga teacher Karen Vargas. You’ll leave with the tools to start a regular meditation practice to combat burn out and improve communication. Beginners very welcome.

***This event has changed to a donation-based workshop. A suggested donation of $10-15 will be requested the day of the event but not required to attend.***
