AMP Workshop Series 1 - Teaching Group Music to All Learners
Eligible for 10 hour unit of study that can be applied to state-awarded professional development points

Series 1 is intended for music instructors who work in group settings, such as a school classroom teacher, ensemble directors, and studio teachers who teach group classes. If you are a music instructor who works in a 1-on-1 setting, please fill out the Series 2 sign-up form.

Cost:
CMSS faculty and SPS teachers: free
All other participants: $20 a day, or $90 for all 5 days*

Dates & Topics: First Wednesdays of the Month, 4-6pm
October 3rd, 2018: “English Language Learners and Special Needs in the Music Classroom”
November 7th, 2018: “Planning for Diverse Needs”
December 5th, 2018: “Communication Techniques”
January 2nd, 2019 (January 9th, Snow Day): “Behavior Techniques”
February 6th, 2019 (February 13th, Snow Day): “Music Therapy 101”

*Financial aid is available to individuals who do not receive funding from their institutions to cover the cost of the workshops. To apply for financial aid, send an email detailing your specific circumstance to Andrew D’Antonio, AMP Director, at (andrew.a.dantonio@gmail.com). All individuals will need to provide evidence of a request for finance assistance from their own institution (i.e. copy of email correspondence with a supervisor) before being considered for financial from AMP.
