Request for Technical Assistance
Minnesota Housing Partnership (MHP) is seeking Requests for Technical Assistance from Rural Housing Development Organizations (RHDOs), Community Development Corporations (CDCs), Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs), local governments, and Tribal Governments. MHP's Strengthening Rural Communities Program staff works with your staff to meet community challenges by engaging and facilitating discussions to address community development needs, determine strategic solutions and implement action steps through a collaborative process.

In order to better understand your community's needs, please fill out this application as the first step to receiving MHP capacity building assistance.

The first round of applications will be accepted until July 13, 2018. All applications will be evaluated and scored based on MHP's current capacity building priorities including; community demographics, targeted populations, demonstrated need for the project, and project readiness. Preference will be given to beneficiaries located in/serving underserved or priority areas including: locally designated community development target areas; economically distressed areas as defined by the Economic Development Administration (EDA); Promise Zones; and/or HUD Preferred Sustainability Status Communities.

Within 30 days of receiving the application and any accompanying documents, MHP will contact applicants and complete its review and scoring of all applications. If selected, MHP will conduct on-site needs assessments and enter into written Memorandum of Understanding outlining both MHP's and the applicant's roles, responsibilities and contributions.
