Transition to Work : West Midlands Pilot   Employer Landscape Survey
The West Midlands Pilot is a unique initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment and support young people into work. It recognises that a lot of efforts have been spent on youth unemployment over the years, yet the issue persists. The pilot is part of the Inclusive Economy Partnership, bringing together businesses, civil society and government to help address major societal challenges facing those on low to middle incomes. The pilot is being designed to better reach young people who are currently not in education, employment or training by breaking down the silos that exist between organisations and taking an integrated system based approach defined by young people. The pilot will be built out from local communities within the West Midlands, with the aim of scaling successful initiatives across the nation. Lived experience is at the core: young people and employers co-lead the design, development, governance and delivery.

The Pilot has a number of partners including Accenture, Movement to Work, UnLtd, O2, Youth Employment UK, Big Lottery Fund, Prince’s Trust, Department of Workforce and Pension and West Midlands Combined Authority with support from the Cabinet Office and the Department of Culture, Media & Sport.

We invite you to take this short survey to help us gain a better understanding of what employers are already doing to give young people more opportunities in the West Midlands. This information will also help us in not duplicating current provisions, rather, to weave them together and accelerate their developments and successes.

The estimated time for completing this survey is 10-15 minutes.
