Complete and return a Humane Teen Club (HTC) application by August 26th. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the application deadline or until all positions are filled, whichever comes first. Due to space and logistic concerns we only able to accept a limited number of teens each year. Participants will be divided into separate sessions and classes will meet 2 Saturday mornings each month. Teens will be chosen based on thoughtfulness and thoroughness of their answers to essay questions. In addition, consideration will be given to one-on-one discussions during a mandatory Informational session. We encourage completion of the application process as soon as possible, and will give session priority on a first come, first served basis.

Due to the non-profit nature of our work, there is an enrollment fee of $250. This fee helps cover costs of running the program and includes a teen volunteer t-shirt. We are committed to making our programs accessible to all and offer scholarships for those needing assistance to cover the fee. To receive a full or partial scholarship please complete a separate application (available on website or upon request).

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by August 26th or received via email by 5 p.m. on August 26th.

In addition to turning in your application on time, teens will need to attend ONE of three Mandatory Informational sessions to be considered for the program. These sessions are for teens and parents to learn more about the Humane Teen Club. They provide an opportunity for participants to meet staff and volunteers that facilitate the program. If you are unable to attend one of the sessions you will not be considered for placement in the Humane Teen Club.
