This year’s course will feature inputs from Prof. Anna Gilmore and colleagues from the University of Bath, and Professor Karine Gallopel-Morvan from the E-HESP (School of Public Health) in Rennes, France (see flyer for more speaker details).

This course is provided by the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies (UKCTAS), a Public Health Research Centre of Excellence which includes 13 universities ( The course is co-ordinated by Dr. Niamh Fitzgerald, Senior Lecturer in Alcohol Studies, Institute for Social Marketing at the University of Stirling.

If you book and pay before 15th June 2018 the cost is: £450. From 16th June 2018, the price is £550 per participant.

The course fee includes tea/coffee and pastries on arrival, refreshments throughout, 3 lunches and a networking dinner on the evening of Tuesday 12th September. Accommodation is not included but can be booked on your behalf (see below).

Accommodation & Start Time
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Conference venue Bailbrook House, a 4-star hotel, A specially negotiated rate of £99 per night B&B is available to those booking early, please indicate your preference below. You are also welcome to stay at home or book your own accommodation locally.

Bailbrook House is a recently refurbished 19th century 4* hotel, set within 20 acres of private grounds, with commanding views towards central Bath and the countryside. The sympathetically restored Mansion House takes advantage of the stunning architectural features of the historic building. With landscaped gardens, the venue boasts views of the Avon Valley, Bath's city centre, and beyond.

Bath is just 2km away; travel time from London Heathrow is under 2 hours. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and free onsite parking. The course starts at 10am on Tuesday 11th September.
