Project Details
PCRG and the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests will conduct a high-altitude survey in the headwaters of Big Creek. Project participants will camp at timberline and survey portions of the Continental Divide and adjacent valleys. The camp will be remote with no services and it is likely we will be out of cell phone range, so plan accordingly.

***This project will be strenuous. Participants will carry their personal equipment to the base camp, which is approximately 4 miles from the trailhead and parking area. Survey will occur at elevations ranging from about 10,000 to 12,000 ft. If you are concerned about your ability to participate please contact us directly at britni.rockwell@paleocultural.org or call our office at 303-439-4098.

September 1st and 6th are dedicated travel days for arrival and departure. Field work will begin on the 2nd and run through the 5th. Due to the projects remote location, volunteers are required to attend the entire project length.
