Dr. Forrest C. Crawford Distinguished Stewardship Award
This award has been created to honor Dr. Forrest C. Crawford, former Assistant to the President for Diversity, and retired professor of Teacher Education. It acknowledges Dr. Crawford’s remarkable energy and commitment to Weber State University, and, especially, his leadership of the University’s Diversity Initiative. This award will be given to Weber State University graduate students who “have made exceptional contributions to the University, their profession or the public.”

Qualifications
Any students who are registered through the Center for Multicultural Excellence (CME) program and have participated in the CME in any capacity, are current Weber State University graduate students who also graduated from WSU or another higher educational institution with a bachelor’s degree and an undergraduate minimum 3.0 GPA may be a nominee for the award. Current Graduate GPA must be 3.0 or above.
Preference will be given to underserved (low-income or historically underrepresented ethnic minority background) students.

• The award can now be given to more than one recipient in a single year.  Each recipient is to receive the full $1,000 award amount.
• Recipients are not required to have earned their bachelor’s degree from WSU, but preference will be given to those who do.
Nomination Information
Thank you for participating in the nomination process! The recipients of the Dr. Forrest C. Crawford Distinguished Stewardship Award through demonstration of sound educational practices will have:
• Improved a process
• Advocated for others
• Taken on leadership in their campus, academic field or profession
• Supported civic engagement
• Promoted multiculturalism with direct impacts to the campus or community
 If you are chosen as the recipient, you will be recognized via the Center for Multicultural Excellence's website and social media outlets.
