Leading an MDST project is an amazing leadership experience that looks great on your resume and teaches you key communication and management skills, while challenging you to achieve a technical depth in the project you are leading that you would not have obtained otherwise.
It is easy to be a project lead, but difficult to be a good one. Being a good project lead requires a lot of upfront effort to prepare the project you are going to lead, and consistent weekly effort to prepare slides and review the material you will present.
