STEM-centric Accessibility 101 Sign-up
**Due to high demand, the course is already full. Anyone signing up after Sept 10 will be added to a waitlist. For those unable to get into the course, the lessons will be made available later on in Fall quarter for you to access. ***
The STEM-centric session of Accessibility 101 will run Oct 8 - Nov 4.
This course will cover the same material as the standard Accessibility 101, but will include additional lessons and resources for faculty teaching in the STEM fields.
This 4-week, online, asynchronous course is designed for faculty and staff who want to learn simple and quick steps to make materials accessible for people with disabilities and better for all users. Participants do not need to be tech savvy to take this course, but familiarity with MS Office applications and Canvas will be helpful. Participants will be introduced to basic accessibility concepts, practices, and inclusive design standards. The time commitment for this course is approximately 25 hours.
Priority will be given to STEM faculty and people that create STEM content. You will receive an email in the coming weeks to confirm your registration.
This training is FREE and only available to faculty teaching in the Washington State community and technical college system.
