Public Interest Design Institutes (PIDIs) are two-day professional development workshops designed to support public interest design in your local community. Successful completion of a Public Interest Design Institute (PIDI) qualifies attendees for 13 CEUs (AIA & USGBC) or PDHs (ASLA) and certification as a SEED Professional.
Host organizations are invited to identify issues of interest locally and help Design Corps staff select the most relevant guest presenters. Our local partners also present a project of their own, as well as local work that deserves to be showcased.
Design Corps will provide SEED Certified instructors, all administrative support and fiscal management, including registrations. We ask our local partners to provide the following:
• A room large enough to hold 80 attendees, with A/V capacity.
• A relationship with academic and/or professional organizations who are willing to help inform their members about the event.
• The ability to network and spread event information to the local community.
• Ability to raise $2,000 to support scholarships for 20 local students and community members.
We are looking forward to hearing your ideas!
