As terra:form, our aim is to spark your imaginations to view the landscapes around you in new and different ways. We want you to develop further understandings of how these landscapes are made up, how they influence parts of our lives, and how human actions may impact upon these landscapes. We would like you to consider factors such as; how they might have shifted between rurality and urbanisation and how various natural elements are being utilised within them. It is also important that we ask you to reflect on your own personal attachment to your surrounding landscapes. To do this, please use these questions as a guide.
The information we gather from you will inform our creative decisions during the process of making a non-narrative documentary about the diversity of landscape in Wigan. Your voices and opinions will form the central line of information within the film.
Firstly, we would like to invite you to respond to these prompts in written form. It is important that we are able to clearly document your responses for the purposes of the film. However, we would also greatly welcome artistic responses. These could be from your chosen artform, but please bear in mind that it should be suitable for including within an audio/visual display. For this reason, responses could come in the form of; audio and video recordings from your phone, spoken word (recorded), poetry or creative writing, illustration or other fixed-media artforms. We would greatly encourage you to respond in a variety of different ways and to cover as many different landscape locations as possible. If your artistic response is physical and cannot be sent via email then please document it with either photos or videos to send to us.
Please send your responses to
terraform365@gmail.com with a detailed explanation of what landscape you are referring to and why you have chosen to respond in the way you have.
