---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OPEN TO ALL!  Beginners are welcome. No partner needed.

• As always historic costumes are admired but not required.
Many will wear Jane Austen/Regency or Victorian-era “calico ball” outfits.
We do request outdoor-appropriate “formal” wear for this occasion.
(For example: Tuxs are not appropriate however vest and/or suit jackets would be.)

IMPORTANT COSTUME NOTE: If you are planning on wearing a long dress please bring safety pins or other means to hitch up skirt if it impedes your dancing. For example, it can be challenging to back up in a floor length skirt on grass.

• We are lawn dancing so please be sure to wear appropriate and
comfortable shoes for dancing on the grass.

• Plan on bringing a picnic. (No alcohol is allowed in public parks).

• Bring a lawn blanket or chairs and table set-ups, as you wish, for your comfort.
(Chairs will not be provided.)

• Water, punch, and light snacks will be served.

PLENTY OF SPACE FOR ALL!  Invite your friends to picnic, listen to the lovely music, and dance.

FRIENDSHIP FUND Scholarships:
Our Friendship Fund is available for folks who would like to attend but would not otherwise be able to afford to come. (Friendship Fund can be either partial or full. Please reach out to us for more details or to recommend a friend for this.)
Additional, we have had a long standing policy for teens to bring a friend two-for-one.
We truly believe that “life is better when dancing” and “making dancing available to all.” Many have used the Friendship Fund for an event as needed and then responded in kind through lending a hand or helping to sponsor and bring in others to our community. It is available to our community at large for all events.

Masks and Vaccinations: Please note that, for this outdoor event, masks are optional and vaccination status will not be checked. While we encourage all dancers to take the precaution of receiving all vaccinations they are eligible for, and to wear a mask if their health is at high risk, we feel confident that risk levels at this fully outdoor event are low enough to forego requirements implemented for indoor events. As always, please do not attend if you feel ill or have been exposed to anyone ill shortly before the event. *
