Artist Submission Form
Debaser is one of Ottawa’s leading independent and underground presenters, best known for its experimental music curation and inclusive events.

A registered not-for-profit arts organization, Debaser exists to support underrepresented, equity-deserving and outsider art and artists, catalyze artist-driven and collaborative projects, and create inclusive and responsive community spaces that cultivate shared understanding, joy, and social impact.

Our primary activity is programming, producing and promoting arts/music events, but we have also released compilation albums, produced multidisciplinary projects, hosted discussions, created web art, made radio and published zines.

Debaser operates on the stolen land of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg (Odàwàng). Please visit our website: https://www.debaser.ca/land-acknowledgement to find educational resources and calls to action.

✦✦✦✦✦

Debaser is looking for submissions from music artists and groups, sound artists, visual and media artists, dance/movement artists and groups, performance artists, and any other type of media or performance art.

Applications are open on a rolling basis. All engagements will be paid.

We are especially looking for programming for our quarterly event series, Pique (thisispique.com).

Debaser is looking for works & performances that are unique, original, and experimental in form and content. We are looking for programming that centres underrepresented and marginalized perspectives and voices.  Our aim is to support community-oriented art by presenting work created by innovative artists and by providing local communities with access to challenging and critical artworks and perspectives from around the world.

Debaser is an incorporated nonprofit organization whose mandate is to support and exhibit underrepresented creative artists. Debaser prioritizes applications received from marginalized communities often underrepresented in the creative sector, and have included an opportunity to self-identify in the form below.

Any information shared will be kept confidential.
