The Homeschool General Music Program at Musical Beginnings is a place for students to build upon prior skills and introduce new concepts. After a short introduction to the basic building blocks of being tuneful, beatful, expressive, students will explore the world of music literacy. Using the Conversational Solfege curriculum, students will move from knowing nothing about a particular aspect of musical literacy to knowing how to play, read, write, and create through a series of games and exercises. In addition, older students will learn proper singing technique as well as instrumental skills with recorders, ukulele, African drums, and/or piano.
Classes meet weekly on Fridays from 10:50-11:30 for ages 4-9 and 10:40-12:20 for ages 9-14 at Curtis Lake Church in Sanford (38 Westview Drive). This class will last 12 classes, starts on February 27th, and cost $99 for your first child and $49 for each additional sibling. Refunds will not be issued for missed classes.
