Thank you for your interest in being a conference volunteer with Gender Infinity. Each year families, learners, advocates and providers come together to advance relationships, knowledge, and resources to empower gender diverse individuals. Volunteering during the Gender Infinity Conference is a great way to support justice, equity, and hope for infinite gender possibilities.
Please review the below volunteer expectations and benefits, and provide the requested information. We will be in touch with you once the application has been reviewed, and we are ready to make assignments.
We all participate in different ways. If you want to volunteer but are not sure if volunteering will work for you based on what you read below, feel free to contact us at email@example.com. We can help figure our how you might be able to volunteer and participate in a way that work for you and us!
HOURS – The number of shifts you volunteer for will determine the amount of the conference you can attend outside of your designated volunteer time. Proof of volunteer hours can be produced upon request. If you wish to receive continuing education credits there will be a charge.
VOLUNTEER MIXER– Volunteers are encouraged to attend the Volunteer Mixer on Sunday, September 30th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM located on the University of Houston campus.
T-SHIRT – A GI shirt will be provided at the mixer and should be worn at all time while you are attending the conference.
MEALS – All day volunteers are invited to eat with the Conference attendees. There are also several on-campus eating options available.
SESSIONS – While you are on shift, you will not attend sessions, unless it is to fulfill a volunteer responsibility.
PARKING:FRIDAY: One parking vouchers will be available for the Welcome Center Parking Garage. No in and out privilege. SATURDAY: Surface lot parking is free, or you can pay $5.00 for a parking garage space.
**If you have a disabled parking tag or license plate, you will be able to obtain a UH disabled parking pass for $3.00 from the Visitor's Booth (on University Blvd.). The tag will allow for parking in LOT 1E, near the Student Center. For further information please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
