STEM Pathways Application - Student Participant Application Form
The STEM Pathways Project at Los Angeles City College is designed to support students who plan to
transfer to a four-year institution and major in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field
that includes Calculus l(or higher) or Chemistry 101 (or higher) or Biology 6/7 as part of preparation for
transfer. Students who are selected to participate in the STEM Pathways Project will:

• Be assigned to a STEM faculty mentor and have monthly contact with the faculty mentor
• Have access to a book loan program for STEM courses
• Participate in Supplemental Instruction and/or tutoring through the STEM Learning Center
• Meet with a STEM counselor at least two times per semester
• Will have access to a peer mentor
• Participate in STEM workshops, field trips and networking opportunities
• Be eligible to participate in paid summer internships at CSU partner institutions
• Have access to funding to attend STEM conferences
