Public Support for the Reading Micro Hydro Power Project

There's a community plan to put a couple of small reliable hydro electricity generating turbines on the River Thames at Caversham Lock. It won't alter the flow of the river. There were water mills here for 100's of years. The Reading Hydro Project will provide a new fish pass to improve biodiversity and be an educational feature for the town, as well as a constant renewable source of electricity and funding for community projects.
