General requirements:1) Be a current RIASP Member and a currently active principal or assistant principal in a Rhode Island school.2) Agree to follow-up on all NAESP required aspects of the training, including the nine month commitment.3) Agree to participate until at least December 31, 2019, in the RIASP Mentoring/Coaching Initiative. Participation will include attending four to six mentoring Committee Meetings, and agreeing to mentor a Rhode Island principal/assistant principal through at least December 31, 2019. 4) Agree to attend two RIASP Board Meetings for the purpose of sharing feedback on the mentoring program, and your own mentoring experience.5) Agree to share your mentoring experience with RIASP member principals at one RIASP General Membership Meeting during the 2019 calendar year.6) Scholarship would be contingent on the superintendent’s agreement to have the principal attend.
