RIDE/RIASP Scholarship Application NAESP Mentoring Training
Attention Principals and Assistant Principals: RIDE/RIASP is offering a fully funded scholarship to five RIASP members to attend NAESP Mentoring Training. The application due date is October 26, 2018 by 3:00pm. Mentor Training Dates/Times: November 6-7, 2018 • 8:00am - 4:00pm Location: Warwick, RI - RIASP Headquarters

General requirements:
1) Be a current RIASP Member and a currently active principal or assistant principal in a Rhode Island school.
2) Agree to follow-up on all NAESP required aspects of the training, including the nine month commitment.
3) Agree to participate until at least December 31, 2019, in the RIASP Mentoring/Coaching Initiative. Participation will include attending four to six mentoring Committee Meetings, and agreeing to mentor a Rhode Island principal/assistant principal through at least December 31, 2019.
4) Agree to attend two RIASP Board Meetings for the purpose of sharing feedback on the mentoring program, and your own mentoring experience.
5) Agree to share your mentoring experience with RIASP member principals at one RIASP General Membership Meeting during the 2019 calendar year.
6) Scholarship would be contingent on the superintendent’s agreement to have the principal attend.

NAESP’s National Mentor Training and Certification Program offers a highly structured professional development program designed to create a team of mentors whose expertise is channeled to support school leaders. The training program integrates research-based best practices with participants’ knowledge and experiences. The program can be customized according to a school district’s specific needs.
