Calling all kelp farmers! For the third year, Seaweed Week will be connecting consumers with opportunities to purchase fresh Maine kelp and seaweed products during the harvest season!

We'll be hosting an online "Get Kelp" directory of farms and businesses selling kelp direct to consumers. This year, we'll also be incorporating pre-orders, convenient pickup locations, and specific pickup dates for fresh kelp orders, to make it easier than ever for farmers to participate and consumers to find and purchase kelp. Heritage Seaweed (Seaweed Week HQ!) will be our primary pickup location in Portland. But we are also interested in additional pickup locations (seafood markets, raw bars, etc.) around the state that are convenient/local for you.

In addition, we'll provide participating farms selling fresh kelp with compostable plastic kelp containers and printed recipe cards to streamline Seaweed Week orders and educate at-home cooks. You can check out the info cards on our recipes page here: https://seaweedweek.org/recipes/.
