Rotary Club of O’Fallon 2026 Scholarship Application

The Rotary Club of O’Fallon will fund three scholarships to an accredited College or Trade School to three graduating high school seniors at O’Fallon Township High School or First Baptist Academy.  Awards will be $1,500.00 each. When possible, one scholarship will be reserved for a student entering the Trades. Our Aim is to reward students who exemplify the Rotary motto “Service above Self.”

Winners will be presented at the High School Senior event where Scholarships are awarded (if possible). Recipients will agree to have their awards publicized by the Rotary Club of O’Fallon. Additional information about our club can be found at https://www.ofallonrotary.org/

Selection Criteria

  • Financial Need (Maximum of 25 points)
  • School Involvement – Service, Clubs, Athletics, etc.; cite/explain leadership roles (officer, chair, section leader, awards, etc.) (Maximum of 15 points)
  • Community Involvement and Volunteerism; cite/explain leadership roles as above. Include full/parttime jobs you have had to support your own ambitions. (Maximum of 15 points)
  • Academics at B (3.0) average or better (Maximum 10  of points)
  • Educational and Career Plan (Maximum of 10 of points)
  • Essay (max 400 words) describing service to others and the community, how it impacted you, and how you plan to continue to serve others in the future. (Maximum of 25 points)
Conditions for Receiving Funds
  • Student must provide proof of full-time enrollment (Tuition bill, Registration form, with official logos)
  • Upon proof of enrollment, money will be paid to the college, university, or accredited training program; students must submit tuition bill for the fall semester to receive the $1500 award.
  • Withdrawal from college or university shall result in the return of unused portion of funds. 

Completed applications should be received by April 10th. 

  • Decisions will be made in April.
  • Late applications will not be accepted.
  • Do not send photographs with your application.
Application Guidelines

A complete application includes the following:

  1. Application form.
  2. Résumé of School Activities and Awards, including leadership, projects, etc. 
  3. Résumé of Community Involvement/Volunteerism, including leadership, projects, employment.
  4. Summary of Educational and Career Goals.
  5. Essay describing service to others and the community, how it impacted you, and how you plan to continue to serve others in the future.
As we evaluate your Application, Committee members will be paying close attention to your service to others (that’s what Rotarians are known for) and your leadership in school and all other areas of your life.
