You are able to receive community hours for your volunteer shifts.
Student volunteer shifts include the following responsibilities:
- Stage Crew - Helping set-up between performing groups; this is good physical work that involves setting up chairs and stands
- Performer Guide - Leading performing groups through each part of the festival. This requires good communication and interpersonal skills with students and directors
- Registration Desk - Helping Festival Staff with administration at the front desk; being a runner between the adjudication secretary and registration staff
- Admission - Welcoming audience members and collecting admission at the front doors
- Equipment Room - Providing support to groups as they arrive, keeping the waiting area organized and quiet
Please note: declaring your availability for shifts does not guarantee that you will automatically be scheduled for that shift.
All volunteers working shifts will receive an official CRMF t-shirt (if they do not already currently own one) and a snack for every shift. Volunteers working back-to-back shifts will also receive a meal from our host committees in between shifts.
