1/20--Call-up Courage & Cast-out Despair: “Cacerolazo” Against Trump/ICE, for Venezuela
On Tuesday, January 20, the end of one bad year under Trump, we will get out our pots and pans to make some noise, a “Cacerolazo,” and reinvigorate ourselves for the year ahead. We will let Trump know we oppose ICE's killing of Renee Nicole Good, the latest victim of an on-going tragic series of murders by police, ICE, & Border Patrol over so many years of racist, fascist targeting, and so many others. We will oppose his attack on Venezuela. We will gather at the Federal Building starting at 2 p.m. and with the Craftivists doing chalk drawing at 3 p.m.. At 4:15 pm, we will bang our pots and pans and march to Veinte de Agosto Park with music at both ends, then to El Presidio. We are responding to a call for a national walkout at 2 p.m. on the anniversary of Trump's inauguration. We encourage folks to do their own cacerolazos at 2 p.m. or other times and places, if that makes more sense. If you plan to attend the downtown event, set up your own cacerolazos or would like to get involved in any way, please fill out this form.
