Only pre-registered parade entries will be permitted in the parade. All applications and hold harmless forms must be turned in by May 16, 2025 in order to participate. Late entries will not be accepted.
Please read all Rules & Regulations:
1. The contact person listed on the Fiesta Day Parade Application will be the only parade contact person to receive information regarding the parade. They will be responsible for communicating this information to their group. Please do not submit multiple group entries with different contact names.
2. The parade route will be determined by the Activities Department.
3. All parade entries must be decorated (patriotic theme preferred). Decorations themed after this year's Fiesta Day event tag line/title are acceptable and also encouraged. Decorations must be family friendly and appropriate to be seen by all ages.
4. The parade is not to be used as a political platform. Such entries will be eliminated from parade line-up. Political and/or controversial material will be reviewed as outlined in the Association's General Rules and Regulations rule GR.4.6 No Signs/Flags/Posters/Banners with vulgar, or obscene content or fighting words. Regardless of size, no sign, poster, flag, or banner viewable from the common area shall contain or imply by the use of symbols, missing letters, or images any "obscene material", "vulgar words" or "fighting words" as those terms are defined in the law or common decency.
5. Commercial/business participants are allowed, however, soliciting is prohibited.
6. Please be respectful of other resident’s property and noise levels during staging/lineup.
7. NO STOPPING! Due to time constraints and spectator safety, gaps in the parade are not allowed. Gaps can create delays and safety issues. Once the parade has begun, stopping is prohibited until the end of the parade route. Bathroom breaks are not available while the parade is in progress.
8. All groups must stay together, participants should not pull ahead or fall behind their group.
9. All unloading and parking will be directed to Lighthouse Drive, on the right or left sides of the road. Please do not stop in the middle of the road to unload/park as it will block traffic and shuttles that need to get through.
10. All parade entries (such as floats), are required to follow Cal Fire regulations for parade participation.
11. Candy/Items need to be thrown as far away from your vehicle/float as possible. Failure to do so will result in a ban on any items being thrown from the parade in the future.
12. Parade participants must travel in the center of the street on the parade route, vehicles and golf carts may not swerve back and forth on the street.
13. Parade participants are organized to benefit the overall look of the parade, as it is seen from the spectator’s point of view.
14. All applications are subject to review and approval. The Fiesta Day Committee, along with the CLPOA, reserves the right to deny access to any parade entry that does not satisfy the guidelines.
15. Failure to comply with any of the above rules and/or verbal abuse towards any event staff may result in disqualification and removal from the day's event, and future Fiesta Hopper participation. Please be respectful of others during the event.
I have read, understand, and agree to all of the Fiesta Day Parade Rules & Regulations and General Guidelines. I understand that I am responsible for notifying my group of participants of these rules & guidelines and if found to be in violation, may result in disqualification/removal from the day's event and future Fiesta Day events.
