What is the maximum game count that a team can have for 2020?
Should you have all your home games entered in the NCJLA system by the time of game scheduling closing on Jan 19th?
Yes, so the webmaster can get them over to the officials and we can publish to our families!
No, it is ok if I need to enter the April games later.
Maybe, sometimes a club just needs more time.
What should you do if you need a game count waiver or need to change a game?
Fill out the appropriate form under the club administrators tab
Email the girls or boys director
Are you allowed to change or cancel games that you scheduled during the December schedulers meeting?
Yes, this is a meeting not a deadline.
No, everything is locked at the meeting.
Maybe, but only if it is beyond the club's control (ie a field is now under renovation that was originally available)
What tasks should be completed at the club level prior to game scheduling? Check all that apply.
Know your coaches "wish list"
Have field rental confirmations for games
Know which one of your teams will want to change their schedule even though you did your best at the meeting
Researched which clubs you played "away" and "home" last season in order to reciprocate for 2020
Have a plan for how you will record the games you schedule at the meeting (google doc, calendar, etc)
Review the scheduling appendix so you meet the REQUIREMENTS
Know the club willingness to play Sat/Sun combo, format (round robin, double header, etc)
Make a list of which venues to avoid
Know the black out dates for school events (ie band concert, spring break)
Make sure you have a lunch delivery planned
Put one of your helpers in charge of being a "wing man"
Designate one outlier club that you will travel to this season #GrowtheGame
Make Scheduling themed shirts especially for the meeting
Please provide the NCJLA staff with feedback for improvement regarding the training materials and over scheduling process.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
