Sunday Worship Ministries

Acolytes: Process the cross and assist at the altar in preparation of Communion.

Altar Guild: Prepare the church and altar for worship and Communion.

Bell Ringers: Ring bells after Sunday services.

Choir: Rehearse weekly and sing at the 11 AM Sunday service.

Coffee Hour Host: Welcome visitors to coffee hour and/or bring snacks & refreshments.

Communion Bread Bakers: Bake bread for distribution at Sunday services.

Greeters: Welcome visitors to services.

Lectors: Read the scripture lessons and/or prayers of the people.

Livestream: Work the livestream video equipment during the service.

Sunday School: Teach or assist at Sunday School during the 11 AM service.

Ushers: Welcome and assist parishioners & take up and count the collection.

Vergers: Guide and direct the flow of worship, particularly as people come to receive Communion.

Fellowship Groups & Volunteers

Book Group: Meet once a month to discuss a book.

Connecting Our Faith: Plan and organize educational events and spiritual formation for the congregation.

Food Cupboard: Prep and distribute groceries weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Gardeners: Gather monthly to weed, prune, rake, and beautify the churchyard.

History Volunteers: Give tours of St. Peter's church, clean the gravestones in the churchyard, share St. Peter's history with the congregation, or serve on the Historic St. Peter's Preservation Corporation to raise funds for historic preservation initiatives.

Music Volunteers: Assist the Music Director with the choir and special events, organize choir music, or serve on the Music Committee.

Pastoral Care: Assist other parishioners in need of prayer or hands-on help.

Property Committee: Take care of our church property through maintenance and repair.

Sages (60s & older): Gather monthly for lunch, conversation, and occasional guest speakers.

Social Justice: Discuss social justice issues and share resources and events with the parish.

TNT (20s & 30s): Gather for book study groups, potluck meals, and other social events.

Via Media (40s, 50s, 60s): Those traveling through our mid-life chapters meet for brunch or other social events.

Youth Group: Youth age 12 and older gather to explore their faith, socialize, and help others.
