One of the most pressing needs of our local employers is accessing qualified employees. Recent labor market disruptions have exacerbated the difficulties some local employers are experiencing in this area.
The Alliance is convening workforce development in government, industry leaders, and educational institutions to open dialogue around what is currently happening in the labor market and how we might work together to connect industry with a qualified workforce. Further, The Alliance is seeking industry leaders who are willing to engage with educational institutions to advise them on the skills and qualities that are most needed for schools, colleges, and universities to train more job and career-ready graduates. Involvement opportunities may include guest speaking in classrooms, consulting with faculty on curriculum development, providing internships, and more.
