TPS COVID-19 Relief Volunteer Form
There has been a flood of interest from concerned community members wanting to support Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) and the broader community response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. TPS is teaming up with the Foundation for Tacoma Students (FFTS) to identify volunteers from partner organizations and the community, and to channel them into helping at TPS sites. In accordance with Governor Inslee's Stay Home, Stay Healthy order, TPS is working with their faculty, staff and contract employees first. Do not go to a TPS site unless you have been directly assigned.

Volunteers can assist in three potential areas:
1) Help prepare and pass out food at various TPS free meal sites
2) Help prepare and pass out educational and other resources at TPS free meal sites
3) Assist with providing care at TPS day camps for the children of first responders and other medical staff (note that student enrollment is not open to the public)

All volunteer work will take place between approximately 9 AM - 1 PM on weekdays, and will require volunteers to travel to different parts of the city.

Please note that while both TPS and the Foundation will consistently use best practices (such as social distancing and disinfecting), there is always some risk of exposure.

Please DO NOT volunteer if you have had symptoms of or have come in contact with someone who has had symptoms of fever, tiredness, or dry cough.

Below is the brief volunteer form to complete with your availability and interest areas for the TPS COVID-19 Relief Volunteer Opportunity. Someone from the Foundation will contact you about opportunities within 24 hours.

For questions about volunteering, please email: volunteer@graduatetacoma.org. THANK YOU for your willingness and support during this incredibly difficult time.

NOTE: Volunteers assume and take full responsibility for any risk that may be associated with their volunteer services during COVID-19. FFTS will not be held liable for harm that, in the unlikely event, occurs to volunteers.
