SOL Information Form for Virtual Students in Grades 3-11
Students who have chosen the virtual learning option for spring 2021 will complete SOL tests at school on one or more of the following Wednesdays: April 28, May 5, 12, or 19. Transportation will be provided, if needed. However, please note that if your student utilizes CCPS transportation they will remain at school until the end of the school day. Additionally, lunch will be provided, as needed. All health and safety procedures will be followed. Specific test dates and additional information will be shared at a later time.
During this pandemic year, parents can refuse to have their student come in to test for one or more of the required state assessments due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students who do not test because of concerns related to COVID-19 will receive a NS, or no score, on their related assessments. Despite these special circumstances, results from the SOL assessments provide important information to help monitor student learning and provide instructional support. Schools are expected to meet SOL participation requirements and may have federal / state imposed required actions for not meeting those targets. In addition, some SOL tests are needed for students to earn verified credits in order to meet graduation requirements. Students only need a 350 on a SOL passed this year in order to earn a locally awarded verified credit for that course. If a student does not complete testing for a course with an accompanying verified credit, they will be required to test in a future SOL administration.
Please complete this form for each virtual student that you have enrolled in CCPS in grades 3-11.
