Many campers are very nervous and/or shy at the beginning of camp. As the assembly leader, you will help to set the mood and help make everyone feel comfortable and psyched for the week ahead! Maybe you know some fun getting-to-know-you activities? Maybe you are a comedian who can help people laugh their nerves away? Fresh ideas, skits, and costumes strongly encouraged! The assembly leader is also responsible for going over the logistics, mission, and code of conduct for all the campers on the first day of camp. As a very visible member of the summer camp team, you will help to reinforce the GRL camp mission every day.

Time Commitment: •Camp: Week of June 11-15: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM- 8:00 PM (Assemblies run from 9:00 AM-9:45 AM and 4:00-4:30 PM daily) Responsibilities outside of assembly times during camp include helping to document camp by taking photos and videos and posting them to GRL’s social media accounts.•Prep: Attend GRL’s programming team meetings (usually held on the afternoon of the 2nd & 4th Sundays each month between April-June) to collaborate on assembly plans with the full camp planning team.
Compensation:$500, to be paid the week following camp.
